Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is a non-profit consortium founded in 1976 by Wang Yongqing and Wang Yong, the former chairman of Formosa Plastics Group. The group’s mission is to improve Taiwan’s medical standards, cultivate excellent medical staff, and provide the best medical services for patients.
Memorial Hospital is currently Taiwan’s largest and most complete medical service system. It is a comprehensive teaching hospital with service and research functions, and is a Class A teaching hospital, the highest rank in the Taiwan Hospital Evaluation system.
The Chang Gung Medical System includes a total of 7 hospitals in Keelung, Taipei, Linkou, Taoyuan, Yunlin, Chiayi, and Kaohsiung. It serves approximately 8.6 million outpatient visits per year. The system has 10,000 beds, and served 180,000 surgery patients each year. On average, about one of every three Taiwanese has received medical services from Chang Gung.
We emphasize cooperation with the patient as the center, and strive that all of our medical staff to provide the best medical services for patients. We have won the “National Biotechnology Medical Quality Award” gold medal many times.
